      Three eminent specialists coming from IBM Labs and Benelux will be with us for this very special IBM LabsPower tour 2011 for Enhanced Application Development to share with you their experience and the latest technology updates on the hottest topics like the latest IBM announcements, Application Development and DB2 for i.

      DANNY VANDAELE , Power Platform Manager Benelux, will open this session with a key note speech covering the October 12th Power Announcements as well as pertinent Belgium news for 2012.

      ALISON BUTTERILL is the WW Application Development Offerings Manager for the Power Systems Software Team. She works with a variety of teams to develop strategic direction and offerings for developers on AIX, i and Linux on Power.

      Having worked in the mid-range area for more than 25 years, Alison has held a wide variety of positions at IBM, primarily with midrange servers and software. She has held a range of positions including field Systems Engineer, an instructor in Customer Technical Education, national support representative for IBM Canada, and Worldwide Technical Marketing support representative for the development tools and compilers from the IBM Toronto Laboratory.

      Alison is a regular speaker at user group events, technical conferences, COMMON events and IBM customers in many countries around the world.

      ROB BESTGEN works in the heart of the IBM i development lab in Rochester, MN. He is a Business Architect responsible for IBM i Systems Management and also for DB2 for i. He is a frequent presenter at customer briefings and customer conferences on both topics .

      PHILIPPE VANDEN BUSSCHE , COMMON Belgium and JOS VERMAERE or one of his colleagues, IBM BELGIUM will initiate a SIG (Special Interest Group) during the networking cocktail helping those who want to start with RDP (Rational Developer for Power) or want to share their experiences if already using RDP that has long replaced SEU/SDA/PDM.
